People often say that motivation doesn’t last.
Well! neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily.
In everyone’s life, there comes a point when they feel absolutely dejected, low, no motivation to do anything and they just push themselves for everything. Nothing amuses, everything seems boring and nothing feels right. What we generally do in this situation, we wait for the right time, when we feel energetic and things will fall back in places . In this process, we generally end up loosing time, gaining weight, look haggard and importantly positive attitude towards life is lost. So, what one should do when nothing goes right ?…… GO LEFT!
Yes! take few days off, pack your bags, go and explore a new city, admire the beauty it holds. Stop pushing yourself, try something new which you have never done before. Going out is always therapeutic. Join some class like pottery, cooking, dance, whatever you always liked but never gave a serious thought to. Meet new people, talking to them, listening to their crazy stories will definitely bring a positive change in you. For few days, stop being conscious, wear your tracks and t shirt , put on the sunglasses and go where your hearts says. Sometimes its good to break free, twist the rules, laugh it off and just relax. Don’t worry, if you don’t feel like working out, if u don’t feel like following a diet, if you don’t want to do your routine work. Take a deep breath , it happens with everyone and it happen when you reach your saturation point. All you need is few days off your schedule, a little me time and you will be as good as new.
But during this time also, you must avoid few things like over eating, confining yourself to your room and loose hope. Binge eating here n there is still acceptable but not more than that. A good game of badminton or chess or tennis can lift your spirits, keep you on your fitness track without working out. Don’t sit idle, call your friends and hang out with them, sometimes a good gossip time with your buddies help elevate your mood. There are so many ways to cop up with this phase so don’t just succumb to it. Keep the fighting spirit alive, tell yourself you are better than this.
Feeling low, unmotivated, lazy or grumpy at times is normal, trust me nothing is wrong with you. You just need a break to rejuvenate yourself, so if things are not going right then you take them to the left to explore something new.
