Maladies, I am at your service again and I am more than glad to be some help. No one is perfect in this world and when you aim for perfection you realize its a moving target, so is keeping your skin healthy and flawless. It needs constant efforts on your part, by following a particular skincare regime, to keep it away from aging as long as possible and other impurities like acne etc. Speaking of acne, oily skin is more prone to have acne than other skin types. In my last article, we mainly discussed skincare regime for dry,sensitive and combination skin and in this article we will talk about OILY skin.

Moisturizing:

Almost everyone, who has oily skin knows to use oil free face wash and other oil free products to keep a check on oil on face and sometimes they forgo moisturizing at all. Mind you, even if you have a oily skin, still it needs proper moisturizing. With all the oil reducing products, your skin is bound to dry out. Dry skin prompts the glands to produce more oil. So, its important to maintain a balance, moisturizing it properly, with gel based and water based moisturizers.

Toner:

Toners are good for all skin types, especially for oily skin. toners are recommended to be used after cleansing, before moisturizing. It helps skin remain hydrated and keep ageing at bay. Apple cider vinegar is best for oily skin, two parts of apple cider vinegar and one part water mixed together and gently dabbed on your skin with cotton ball. Its a natural toner.

Scrub:

If you have only oily skin no acne , then its good to exfoliate it with home made mild scrubs once a week. Scrub made of sugar and lemon works best for oily skin, it helps in removing blackheads and dead skin and doesn’t allow bacteria to grow.

Oils:

Though oily skin already has enough oil  , so adding more is not a good idea. still Argon  oil is on such oil, which contains sterolins, also it contains unsaturated fatty acids that helps soften the skin. Since this oil regulates the sebum production, which causes acne , it can help reduce further breakout. apply it gently on the face at night after cleansing and toning.

Face packs: for oily skin and acne prone skin,

STRAWBERRY AND YOGURT face mask:

strawberries contain salicylic acid which helps in controlling excess oil and yogurt bacteria help in fighting acne bacteria and it has smoothing effects too.

CINNAMON AND NUTMEG PACK:

Spices like cinnamon and nutmeg are natural antiseptics which help reducing the bacteria, blemishes and uneven skin tone.  Half teaspoon cinnamon powder, one fourth tsp grated nutmeg  mixed with one tsp honey, apply this on your face and leave it for 20 minutes. Try this pack one a week.

GRAM FLOUR AND YOGURT:

Gram flour is natural cleanser and yogurt smooths the skin, mix them together and apply on face. It helps in reducing acne marks, blemishes and controls oil on the face.

Dear ladies , no one wakes up looking the way they look in parties or at malls. Sometimes its sheer make up that makes them glow but that is just temperory, for long lasting glowing skin you need to wake your self up to work on your skin, take proper diet and proper sleep. Please take good care of your self dearies.
