Yes! age is just a number…… you can be young at heart as long as you want . That totally depends on your will to live life adventurously. But for your skin to look younger as long as possible, we have got your back. Early twenties is a phase for most of the people, when their skin is at its prime, free of achenes of teenage, more shiny,fresh and elastic, but as soon as late twenties hit, certain noticeable and unnoticeable aging signs in our skin start to creep in. These signs vary person to person depending upon their genetics and lifestyle. Before we plunge into which is the best skincare regime one should follow to keep aging at bay as long as possible, we should know what these signs are:
1.DULLNESS: first and foremost sign of aging is dullness, when you start to notice your skin is,especially your cheek area, losing its shine, appears more dry and lusterless. Any amount of foundation or other cosmetics not able to help, its your cue to take it seriously.
2.CONSTANT PUFFINESS: if you have constant puffiness, it means all those late hours you spent at night, are now catching on you and your skin is not that resilient as not to show up any sign next morning and that too continuously. Cut down on salt and late nights, which lead to water retention and worsen the swelling.
3.CROWFEET: crowfeet is branching wrinkles at the outer corner of a person.While laughing or squinting , you notice deep lines forming at the outer corner of eyes.
4.DRYNESS: It is the easily noticeable sign of aging, your skin needs constant hydration , and in late twenties, you need a change in your moisturizer to adapt to dryness of skin. Due to dryness skin looses bit of elasticity thus we start to notice teeny weeny fine lines.
okay! so irrespective of your skin type, you will notice aforementioned signs of aging . It is recommended to start taking care of your skin to keep aging at bay. Though aging is inevitable, we cant stop it but we can delay it. In this article I will talk about the night and morning routine that should be followed by those who have DRY, SENSITIVE OR COMBINATION(nose and forehead area oily and cheek area dry) SKIN. Lets get started:
NIGHT REGIME- make GLYCERINE your best buddy, it has lot of anti aging properties plus it hydrates your skin more than any night cream can do. It thickens skin, restores elasticity, restores moisture and is anti irritant. You can add few drops of extra virgin coconut oil,almond oil and olive oil, massage gently the mixture on your face with upward strokes, gentle dabbing under eyes. please apply this magical mixture generously on your face and neck. Thats my daily night routine for seven days a week and trust me it does wonders.
MORNING REGIME: I wake up early in morning when my family is still fast asleep. That gives me window of fifteen minutes to wake my skin up with nutrition of fruits. Yes! In the morning after waking up and splashing water on my face and I make a beeline to my kitchen and use different fruits and eggs to make an anti aging and skin hydrating face mask. There are different face masks for every day of the week and yes I use these masks daily without fail. I am going to mention 4 face masks in this article and in my next article I will add three more face masks plus we will talk about oily skin and its night regime. Following face masks are for all skin types. Lets get started:
EGG AND CUCUMBER FACE MASK: this one is my favorite, all you need is an egg white and half cucumber.Egg white and cucumber help firming the skin and are great together as anti aging recipe. Put the pieces of cucumber with a skin on (don’t forget to wash it properly) in a blender and blend it to a juicy paste. Add egg white in it and stir properly with a spoon. Soak two cotton balls in it to put on your eyes, first lay down somewhere comfortably , massage you face gently with this mask first and then put the cotton balls on your eyes(do not squeeze the cotton balls, just put duly soaked cotton balls in the mixture on the eyes, it will act as cold press which helps in getting rid of puffiness) let is rest for 15 minutes , then rinse with lukewarm water . if you don’t like the smell of eggs, use face wash and apply moisturizer….. VOILA! You are ready for the day with happy, well hydrated and glowing skin.
BANANA, CURD AND HONEY FACE MASK: bananas are rich in nutrients like vitamin B,vitamin C,vitamin E and potassium. This fruits hydrates your skin and makes it smooth. Take half ripened banana and mash them properly and add to it 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp curd, mix properly, again soak two cotton balls in it and follow the same procedure mentioned above.
PAPAYA FACE MASK: papaya mask is the best anti aging mask, it helps in lightning the skin tone and helps in getting rid of wrinkles around the eyes. Take ripe papaya , cut it into small pieces, mash it with a fork and make smooth paste, again soak cotton balls and follow the same procedure as mentioned above.
GRAPES FACE MASK: grapes work wonders treating the fine lines, just take 20 grapes and put it in a blender, blend it properly, again soak cotton ball and follow the above procedure.
AVOCADO FACE MASK : Avocado is rich in vitamins B,C,E and K,it also has selenium,potassium,folate,beta-carotene and zinc. It hydrates the dry skin and prevents aging. for the mask take one ripe avocado, cut it into half and extract its pulp. make a fine paste and apply all over your face including under eyes, keep it for 25 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
Try these anti aging and skin hydrating mask , you will see big difference end of the week. But one thing very important, no amount of face mask usage or any night or morning regime can help you, if you are not taking proper sleep of 7 to 8 hours in a day, drinking at least 9 to 10 glasses of water and keeping a positive attitude towards life.
